Focus on preventing and fighting non-communicable diseases
ASAAS’ strategy is aligned with Health Vision 2050, which aims to improve tertiary care facilities, upgrade and integrate healthcare training facilities, improve rural and regional service delivery, and develop a strong base for human resources across Oman.
Aligning its efforts with the public and private sector, ASAAS’ methodology is centered on identifying opportunities and delivering key projects within the healthcare supply chain to meet the immediate and future needs of local people.
Healthcare Budget
Oman significantly increased its health budget in recent years, doubling its planned budget allocation from OMR 1.36bn (2006-10) to OMR 2.49bn (2011-15) in order to focus on preventing and combating non-communicable diseases.
