SalamAir paid a memorable tribute to the Sultanate’s 46th National Day when a fully branded aircraft featuring SalamAir’s logo together with its unique shades of blue and green, which pay homage to the Sultanate’s natural treasures of sea and land, made a special appearance at Muscat International Airport.

“SalamAir has added another milestone to its growing list of accomplishments and we are proud to have achieved this one on the 46th National Day of the country,” expressed SalamAir’s Chairman, Khalid Al Yahmadi. “Safety and security is our number one priority and we are working tirelessly to complete all the necessary testing requirements so that we can commence our Muscat – Salalah flights as scheduled before the end of year.”

SalamAir’s CEO François Bouteiller accompanied the pilots in the cockpit during the flight, and said, “It was a very proud moment for me to witness SalamAir’s first touchdown at our soon-to-be home base and be part of our progress to realizing our vision to become a catalyst in the industry of budget carriers. Completion of all necessary aircraft modifications are well underway and with an initial fleet of three A320s, we believe we will be able to establish a strong presence and serve those flying with us in the true Omani spirit.”

He added, “Customer satisfaction is at the core of our identity and we plan to elevate the standards of business and leisure travel alike by offering customers quality, safety, hospitality and affordability from the moment they come into contact with SalamAir.”

A preferred choice among airline brands globally, the A320 aircrafts are optimal for domestic and short haul flights as they offer an economical and efficient means of transport. The SalamAir A320 fleet of aircrafts will feature a single class available to fliers with three seats on either side divided by an aisle alongside a comfortable pitch seat.
